Quite recently, a new episode gamblingsitesnotongamstop.co.uk of debriefing on a game like Prototype was released on the stopgame channel, and there the presenters noticed a very interesting idea with a stupid scenario, and for this reason I decided to try to implement such, if I may say so, a section. Alternate history.
Its point is to take the most memorable things from the history presented by the game and, based on them, invent a new story. For example, let’s take a Prototype: a virus, a large-scale cataclysm, the main character has super power based on the virus, the villain is also infected. We’ll leave the name of the main character and the villain the same, but you can change the circumstances as you like. One blog describes 1 or more missions.
Let’s begin:
Alex Mercer, a 19-year-old virology student, now with his brother, Dean Mercer, a military man, has completed an expedition to study a meteorite that fell on the moors of Barrow. There they find only the remains of dust and the “frame” of the meteorite in the shape of a honeycomb of a beehive. Having collected the remaining dust, they headed to the airport to return to base, but upon arrival at the airport, a massive fall of meteorites began, from which the heroes hid at the metro station.
Another meteorite blocked the passage, almost covering the heroes, after which a glow began to emerge from the “honeycomb,” but it didn’t seem to affect the heroes. The heroes boarded the subway car and, under the influence of motion, shock and fatigue, the heroes fell asleep while the subway moved forward.
Suddenly, the carriage hit a meteorite with great force and flew out of the ground to the surface, turning over several times and crashing into the wall of a house. The heroes fortunately survive, although they are very battered. From the base where they were heading, they receive a message on their phone and the coordinates of where they will go, where the heroes went. Along the way, in one of the empty stores they find some supplies and a fire ax, which GG equips. Later they meet infected people who did not notice them, and a little later those huge infected dogs on the roof of the building. They reach a bridge on the other side of which soldiers are waiting. The bridge is filled with cars. At the cry of one of the soldiers, dogs began to run from our side, and the heroes were forced to flee across the bridge, there are no super powers yet. When the heroes reach the end of the bridge, a soldier shoots at one of the tanks of the car and blows up the bridge, but one dog survives and jumps on the GG. His brother saves him by pushing him away, for which he is sent into the air with a blow, and the dog attacks GG. The soldiers do not dare to attack the monster, retreating to Dean and shooting at the monster from afar, and the GG decides to fight with an ax in his arsenal, the first fight. GG wins with an ax blow from a jump, plunging the ax into the monster’s skull. He died. The soldiers approach the main character with caution, he, without noticing this, asks why they didn’t help him and where are all the people from the cars. They point machine guns at him and say that they, like GG, were infected and killed. GG looks at his hands and realizes that he is covered in infected blood. Here they knock him out with a butt in the back.
